About Us

About Us

Diversity, in respect to our blog, is the difference in mindsets and motivations, variations and beliefs, actions and practices in institutions that differ between groups.

- Through consented interviewing and observation, our goal is to search for variations in cultural values in how different groups of students (excluding faculty and staff) find reasons and motivations to attend the gym on the USF campus. By compiling our results, we aim to determine trends in both motivations and mindsets of active USF students.

- Once data is collected and analyzed, we hope to post the trends we have observed in active USF Students.

- Humanistic Approach: By finding diversity in trends, we can better understand the different mindsets of the students at USF who go to the gym.

Tough Machines, Tough Workouts, Tough Pressures of Keeping Up at the Gym

All of us NON-gym goers I think undergo some form of this or another. Complicated machines we can't figure out how to use, trying to keep up with everyone else at the gym to fit in and get in shape, and having to worry about being looked at and singled out is something I think we can relate to when going to the gym when out of shape.
