About Us

About Us

Diversity, in respect to our blog, is the difference in mindsets and motivations, variations and beliefs, actions and practices in institutions that differ between groups.

- Through consented interviewing and observation, our goal is to search for variations in cultural values in how different groups of students (excluding faculty and staff) find reasons and motivations to attend the gym on the USF campus. By compiling our results, we aim to determine trends in both motivations and mindsets of active USF students.

- Once data is collected and analyzed, we hope to post the trends we have observed in active USF Students.

- Humanistic Approach: By finding diversity in trends, we can better understand the different mindsets of the students at USF who go to the gym.

No Stress. Gym.Yes!

Working out reduce feelings of depression and stress

It is stated that 7 out of 10 adults experience stress or anxiety and most people state that it interferes moderately in their life. It is impossible to eliminate it but you can learn to manage stress. The American Pyschlogical Assoication surveyed 2008 and more people reported physical and emotional symptoms due to stress than they did in 2007, and nearly half reported that their stress has increased in the past year. According to a recent ADAA online poll, 14 percent of people make use of regular exercise to cope with stress. Exercising  is one of the most recommended by health care professionals. I guess it's safe to say the gym releases our main stress.

STRESS AFFECTS US ALL!
